Keeping a Constant and Observant Watch at Borders and Perimeters

Perimeter and border security increasingly depend on security cameras designed to keep a constant, vigilant watch and, most importantly, detect and record when any unauthorized person tries to move from one side of the perimeter to the other side, where he or she is not permitted.

Unfortunately, most security cameras do not perform equally well at all times of the day, under all lighting conditions, or in all temperatures. In addition, they have to deal with lack of detail of unauthorized people trying to cross a perimeter or border, inconsistent clarity in bright or low light, or high-contrast lighting situations and no images at strong glare.
